Centralwings Airlines profitable in 2009
The change of the strategy and the introduced program is a part of comprehensive reorganization plan which is implemented in PLL LOT and the LOT Group. “In the situation where the field of aviation in the whole world is affected by the general slowdown, we have decided to undertake steps which are supposed to improve the company’s profitability, which is the ultimate priority. Thanks to the introduced program Centralwings Airlines will not only exist but also will be given the opportunity to develop” said Tomasz Szymczak, the president of the management board for Centralwings. “Thanks to the support provided by LOT Group we are also sure that the incoming alternations will not affect neither our Passengers nor the Centralwings staff” added president Szymczak. All the regular flights planned till the 14th Sep 2008 plus several connections till the 30th Sep are going to be realized with Centralwings aircrafts, and it is still possible to book a ticket for those connections. The Passengers of the remaining flights will be offered the possibility to use the similar flights with LOT, without extra costs. The Passengers who are not satisfied with the offered change will be offered refunds for the cancelled bookings. All the charter and charter-mix flights are going to be executed according to the schedule. “In cooperation with PLL LOT we managed to develop a model which shall satisfy our Passengers” demands. The re-sit to LOT flights is not connected with any extra costs” said President Szymczak. “Simultaneously the passengers interested with less expensive connections will be able to find an offer designed for their needs on the website www.lot.com“ he added. Except from focusing on charter and charter-mix flights the company is additionally going to start the cooperation with for the aircrafts lease as a part of ACMI formula (wet lease). The lease, which is supposed to start in the winter season, of 4 to 5 aircrafts with the staff for the foreign carriers shall allow the company to provide employment for the flying staff irrespective of the situation on the market, and at the same time enable the carrier the preparation for the summer season.
